The central part of the young open cluster NGC 6383 ⋆
The spectral and extinction properties of 14 pre-main sequence candidates in the central part of the very young open cluster NGC 6383 were investigated. None of these stars shows evidence for anomalous circumstellar extinction. However, six out of 14 programme stars do show an infrared excess, indicative of the presence of circumstellar dust, heated up by the central star. One of these stars (n...
متن کاملThe Multiwavelength Picture of Star Formation in the Very Young Open Cluster NGC 6383
We review the properties of the very young (∼ 2 Myr) open cluster NGC 6383. The cluster is dominated by the massive binary HD 159176 (O7 V + O7 V). The distance to NGC 6383 is consistently found to be 1.3 ± 0.1 kpc and the average reddening is determined to be E(B−V ) = 0.32 ± 0.02. Several pre-main sequence candidates have been identified using different criteria relying on the detection of em...
متن کاملContinuum emission in NGC 1068 and NGC 3147 : Indications for a turnover in the core spectra ⋆
We present new interferometric observations of the continuum emission at mm wavelengths in the Seyfert galaxies NGC 1068 and NGC 3147. Three mm continuum peaks are detected in NGC 1068, one centered on the core, one associated with the jet and the third one with the counter-jet. This is the first significant detection of the radio jet and counter-jet at mm wavelengths in NGC 1068. While the flu...
متن کاملThe central stars of the planetary nebulae NGC 7027 and NGC 6543 ?
Infrared spectra of NGC 7027 and NGC 6543 ranging from 2.4 to 45 m were obtained with the Short Wavelength Spectrometer on board the Infrared Space Observatory. A first analysis of these spectra, with the aid of photo-ionization models, is presented. We report the first detection of the [Arvi] 4.53 m and [Nevi] 7.65 m lines in the spectrum of NGC 7027. When compared with older observations it i...
متن کاملA Massive Object in the Core of NGC 5055 ?
In a global kinematical study of NGC 5055 using high resolution Fabry-Perot interferometry, intriguing spectral line prooles have been observed in the center of the galaxy. These prooles seem to indicate a rapidly rotating disk with a radius near 365 pc and tilted 50 deg with respect to the major axis of the galaxy. In the hypothesis of a massive dark object, a naive keplerian estimate gives a ...
